About us

The Center for Empirical Research in Political Science (CEPIS) was founded in May 2016 at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Political Science.

CEPIS brings together researchers in the field of political science and related disciplines to promote empirical research standards in finding answers to socially relevant problems. The Center is dedicated to the empirical analysis of the democratic political process and the creation of public policies while ensuring excellence through relevant, systematic, and reliable research. The Center contributes to improving the quality of public governance by promoting knowledge-based political decision-making.

The core activities of the Center include scientific and professional research aimed at applying and disseminating findings in relevant international publications, methodological training of researchers, the transfer of experience and knowledge to the media, non-governmental organizations and initiatives, state institutions, and political parties.CEPIS’ research platform covers three interrelated thematic areas: Elections and Electoral Conduct, Legislative and Executive Authority, and Public Policy.
